Michael Bernstein is a Partner with Baird Capital's U.S. Private Equity team focused on investments in the Healthcare sector. Mike is a former executive in residence with Baird Capital and has nearly 30 years of operational and investment experience in the healthcare industry, including several executive management roles.
Prior to joining Baird Capital’s U.S. Private Equity team, Mike served as the President and CEO of Baird Capital portfolio company Medical Education Technologies, Inc. (METI). During his time at METI, Mike helped improve business performance and negotiated the sale of the company to CAE, a global leader in simulated education services. He then became President of CAE Healthcare, where he led the integration of METI, restructured the business and drove efficiency initiatives to improve profitability. Mike also has prior executive experience serving as the CEO of Leprechaun Inc., President and CEO of Innovative Health Strategies, President and COO of the former Cobalt Corporation, Executive Vice President of the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation and as Senior Vice President for University Health Care in Madison, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Alpha Source, Hopebridge and ReMed.
Mike received a BA in rhetoric and political science from the University of California and a JD from the McGeorge School of Law.
