ecube
ecube is a leading provider of storage, disassembly and parts re-use and recycling services to global aircraft owners in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including major airlines and aircraft leasing companies.
The company entered the North American market in 2022 after opening its third global facility in Arizona. The leading aircraft disassembly provider also has existing sites in Castellón, Spain, and headquarters in St Athan, U.K. ecube enables the reuse or recycles a remarkable minimum of 93% of the materials from every aircraft disassembled and is a key part of the global aerospace circular economy.
Baird Capital invested in ecube in 2020 and Partners James Benfield and Louise Kingston joined the board of directors. Through their investment period, Baird Capital supported the company to recruit a new leadership team to enable the retirement of the founders, to establish a U.S. footprint through the greenfield development of a new site in Arizona and to diversify into complementary service capabilities. Baird Capital exited its investment in ecube in 2024. This transaction marked a full realization for Baird Capital and is another successful case study of Baird Capital’s longstanding focus on sustainability and experience in supporting the growth of circular economy business models.
